NALAN XINGDE [NA-LAN SING-TÖ] (1655-1685)

Nalan Xingde, appelé aussi Nalan Rongruo, vient du clan de Nara, appartenant à l’aristocratie mandchoue. Élevé dans la culture chinoise, il obtient le titre de docteur à l’âge de vingt et un ans. Après avoir servi dans la garde impériale, il est emporté à trente ans par la maladie. Célèbre par ses ci , poèmes à chanter, il nous a laissé deux recueils poétiques dont le plus connu s’intitule Poèmes d’un buveur d’eau (Yin shui ci ). Certains critiques chinois l’ont appelé le Li Yu des Qing. On retrouve dans ses œuvres la même inspiration aristocratique et romantique, la même force et la même sincérité dans l’expression des sentiments. Il n’appartient à aucune école poétique. Peu soucieux de recherche stylistique, il chante avec les mots les plus simples l’amour, l’amitié, la tristesse, et rapporte les impressions trouvées dans la contemplation des choses.
